Job Description:

The Part-Time Event Floral Assistant will provide event preparation and set-up assistance for our clients throughout the Greater Seattle area. The ideal candidate for this position is adaptable, detail oriented, reliable, personable and passionate about florals. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with daily studio operations as needed

  • Assist in the packing of client items for delivery to event venues

  • Executing floral set-up on-site at the event venues

  • Remaining on-site to assist with any mid-event touches or floral flips

  • Completing floral break-down as outlined by the venue’s parameters

  • Returning and reorganizing all florals and equipment to floral studio post-event

  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the studio space

  • Attend weekly team check-in meetings

Qualifications:

  • Must have a driver’s license and own their own vehicle (or have access to a vehicle consistently)

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must be able to stand or walk for extend periods of time up to 10 hours

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends and some holidays, during peak floral season

  • Must have customer service experience and be comfortable interfacing with clients

  • Floral experience or a high interest in learning the craft of floral design

  • Adaptable and flexible to changes in environment

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Specifications:

This is a part-time position starting at 15+ hours per week. Actual schedule and hours will vary based on volume and overall business demand. This position must report in-person to our floral studio in Columbia City and to all designated event venues throughout the Greater Seattle area.
